Founded by ceramicist and artist Eva Gernandt, By Mutti stems from her deep love and respect for lives lived on the sea and the tradition of old school tattoos. Consequently, each piece is steeped in history, symbolism, and meaning which is reflected in each collection. The Liberty Bowl is part of the Tro, Hopp & Kärlek collection and features a “true love” tattoo at its centre. Bearing the signature nautical By Mutti aesthetic, this bowl is both durable and beautiful and has been manufactured with high temperature firings and in-glaze motifs. For By Mutti collectors: By Mutti moved their production to Portugal in 2024. While equally as lovely, the blue colour is now paler and will not be an exact match to any original pieces produced in China. Small changes have also been made to the shapes of the products but the art works remain the same.
