Manchester Face Mask / Neck Gaiter with vintage map print of Manchester and Its Environs by John Rapkin, 1851
This is a designer face mask / neck gaiter featuring one of the oldest and most detailed maps of Manchester and the surrounding area, put together by John Rapkin and published by J. Tallis & Co in 1851. This face shield can be used as a headband, bandana, balaclava, wristband or neck warmer.
This is not a medical grade face mask, but it could still help prevent the spread of coronavirus/covid-19 if you wear it when you go outside.
Illustrations of important landmarks such as the Royal Infirmary and Town Hall adorn the edges of the map.
As you can see, Manchester city centre is an old city – many of the streets remain unchanged.
If you would like a custom version of this face mask centred on a few streets or a region of Manchester, make sure you fill in the ‘personalisation’ box. The original map is very high resolution, so we can easily make a custom, unique map.
